This February 7, 2026, Mountain Learning Enrichment invites you to step into a night that’s about more than music and dancing—it’s about time together. It's Ties & Tiaras Family Dance at the Mountain City Playhouse from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. For one evening, the world slows down. Ties are carefully straightened. Tiaras are gently placed. Small hands find familiar ones, and the dance floor becomes a place where laughter, quiet smiles, and shared moments take center stage. As the music plays—from joyful favorites to soft, meaningful songs—families will sway, twirl, and simply be present with one another. This is a night to make memories you’ll hold onto long after February has passed. A night when grandparents get an extra dance, aunts and uncles become heroes for the evening, and parents and caregivers pause to soak in just how quickly these moments grow into memories. You will be guaranteed to leave with more than pictures—you’ll leave with a full heart and memories to last a lifetime, for both you and your special child.
The amazing local band, Sweet Charity, joins MLE at this annual fundraiser in the Mountain City Playhouse to help create a night that will prove to be special for all attendees. There will be sweets, treats, and munchies to enjoy as well as fun ties and tiaras for all who wish to wear them. Taking pictures in the Valentine 's-themed photo area will add a special touch to the night. As the band plays everything from upbeat favorites to slow, sweet melodies, families can come together and find joy in spending time having fun and focusing on each other.
This family dance is an annual fundraiser for the 501c3 nonprofit, Mountain Learning Enrichment, Inc (MLE). MLE provides a variety of programs that benefit children, youth, and their families in the Rabun County area. From our returning Mountain Learn & Play, a drop and play program where children ages one year to five years of age can be dropped off for no more than four hours at a time. This program gives parents an opportunity to attend a doctor appointment, visit the store, or take care of necessary child-free errands. Our afternoon enrichment program for school-age children is called Rabun Kids Club. RKC is designed to help those working parents who need a safe and enriching environment for their children during after-school hours. From movement activities like gymnastics, tumbling, ninja, dance, art, and soon to start, music and theater, kids in Rabun Kids Club get an opportunity to be active and express themselves in a safe and fun environment.
The 2026 Ties & Tiaras Family Dance is a great opportunity to support these valuable programs and help Mountain Learning Enrichment continue to provide services for the children and families of Rabun County and surrounding areas. Come dance the evening away, make wonderful memories, and help support programs for our community’s children and families.
